Street Works is excited to announce that National Grid has purchased a second TCi 730 Street Trencher. Following the success of their first machine, National Grid decided that adding a second unit would increase productivity by giving multiple crews access to the equipment. The new unit will be deployed to support their upstate New York operations, helping crews work more efficiently across multiple sites.
The Street Trencher’s design replaces several traditional operations with one step - cutting below grade, pulverizing the material, and backfilling in a single pass - which saves time, reduces the need for multiple machines, and minimizes project disruption. Its Tigercat‑powered engine and durable construction make it well suited for the demanding task of trenching in utility infrastructure work.
We are proud to continue supplying National Grid with high‑quality, reliable equipment that supports their mission of maintaining critical energy infrastructure throughout the region.
